Everybody has seen this word BMI, but, what is it? Some of you will definitely know already, others are still a rookie with this term. BMI is an abbreviation for 'Body Mass Index', and it is very easy to calculate.
What you have to know: your hight and your weight. Take the metric system (so cm and kg) as this is the easiest way to calculate.
Metric: hight multiplied with hight divided by weight = BMI
eg. 180cm x 180cm = 32400
65kg / 32400 = 20
Imperial: hight multiplied with hight
weight multiplied by 703
weight outcome divided by height outcome = BMI
eg. 70.8661 inch x 70.8661 inch = 5022
143.3 x 703 = 100739.9
100739.9 / 5022 = 20
Why is BMI important? It tells you in the easy way whether your at a normal weight for your height, underweight or overweight.
